How to Take Care of Health in Pregnancy

Pregnancy is something which makes the would be mother really very happy and at the same time they have to be very careful about all the steps that she takes for this nine month long tenure. This is definitely not a very easy thing to do. But one has to take care of their health and also of their child who is growing inside their womb.

Seeing a gynaecologist is the first thing that one has to do after conceiving. They take care of every step that a new mother takes. For medicine immunology in pregnancy one also needs to consult their doctors.

Apart from that, there are many other things that one needs to take care of.

One has to eat balanced diet during this time. This means there should be food from all the groups. Do not live on only one thing like only dairy products or only carbohydrates. You need everything balanced during this time. The most important things that you need to eat during this time are fresh fruits, lots of green vegetables and dairy products as well. For protein intake there should be proper servings of fish and meat as well. One should go for fish servings at leapt thrice a week and meat servings at least twice a week. Not only that, they should have eight glasses of water on a daily basis.

Be very careful about the hygiene of the food which you are eating. Some food items are a strict no during this time period. This can harm your baby as well. So never indulge yourself to frost ready to cook meals or unpasteurised milk. Do not eat street foods which are too oily and are made of things which are nit healthy. Avid very deeply fried things as well. Cook your food in utensils which are clean and wash them thoroughly. Always wash your hands or use a sanitizer before you eat

Do not smoke or drink alcohol once you get pregnant. This will indirectly affect your baby’s health. So keep out these two things for the period of nine months and even after the delivery if baby as you need to breast feed which means at least for a year post pregnancy.

Seeing a doctor is very important in this time because you need antenatal care when you are expecting. The doctors will definitely give some proper advice on how to remain healthily pregnant throughout those months and they will be doing proper tests and will be providing medicines if necessary. In fact, they can prescribe medicines if one is in dire need of it. From medicine for oncology while pregnant to every general medicine has to be taken only after consulting the doctor. Prescribed medicines are safe to take. There is no need to take medicines on your own when you are pregnant. The doctor also should play special attention when they are prescribing medicines to a pregnant woman. Otherwise, if wrong medicines are prescribed then it can affect the child directly.
